A new mini chart was released for each “snapshot” profile page with the ability to view up-to-the-minute charts or go back 2 years. Its small, fast and a great addition for any page surfer looking for just a glimpse We released the old “Chart” page on a request from a customer but that too will get a makeover along with all the other pages + some new ones

Pre-release: Updated Profile Page

The first new profile page has been released – called Snapshot – its a summary of data related to the selected company including stock quotes (now making use of up-to-the-minute data), news, financial info and brokerage reports. More features like charts, corporate announcements etc will be added in the coming days. So keep tabs on it – this is gonna be interesting   ex: John Keells, Nations Trust, Distilleries

Indev: Profiles

Currently working on the new profile pages which would display information related to each company listed on the exchange. Bigger and bolder can be the words to describe it – so users get all the latest info in a snapshot – trying to differentiate it from other quote systems – by introducing some nifty new features that are bound to attract interest.

The New Face of Stockit

Released today – the new face of Stockit – cleaner, smoother and a lot easier on the eye. Today marks Stockit’s re-focus on its key markets and hopes for the future. This new design follows a much simpler approach where the text is much larger and pages are focused on a few items as not to distract the user, but this also allows us to simply add new tools to the existing page and build-on-basic as we progress. In all a more rewarding user-experience.

Mix Ticker

Testing a new ticker based on the old model but with a change of face. Now both news and stock quotes are available on one streamlined ticker It also makes use of the extra information we have made available such as the number of trades done during the trading day – which is a nifty bit of information for the daily investors. Stock quotes are updated-by-the-minute while news – ever 15 minutes.

News Grouping – Done!

Spent the last few hours tweaking the news page (http://www.stockit.biz/news.php) – in short its way smoother than our old page. News Grouping really makes news interesting – offering related articles to show the news in progress as it where. Currently its just the basic grouping but we hope to add many new features like search, a calender among other things

Trying out a new approach to news gathering – sort of like google news where news is grouped under that latest headline depending on relevance. Looks promising and hope our customers find it useful

Also uploaded the new registration and invitation page – larger font and less fields to fill compared to the previous form should boost registration hits and the invitation page should make it easier for customers to introduce friends to Stockit.
